Breaking News: Senate Passes 2016 Budget

The Senate on Wednesday passed the 2016 Appropriation budget of N6.06 trillion. But this came with a complaint by the Senate Committee on Appropriation about the omission of some agencies from the budget. However, the Chairman of the Committee on Appropriation, Senator Danjuma Goje, said the service wide votes will take care of the omission of workers’ salary in the 2016 budget. Goje explained that the budget has already been harmonised by both chambers before presenting it.

Buhari Appoints Bayelsa Engineer Simbi Kesiye Wabote as the Executive Secretary of NCDMB

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved new appointments in 13 federal government agencies. Cross River State Governor Ayade Shocks Workers, Pays May Salary On May 1st

Cross River State Governor, Professor Ben Ayade today stunned the organized labour in the state when he announced the payment of salaries for the month of May on the first day of the month. A mild drama immediately ensued when the workers who were at the U.J. Esuene Stadium for the May Day celebration each began to receive salary payment alert from their various banks. Unable to contain the excitement, shouts of ‘alert alert alert rent the stadium as the workers went into a frenzy, singing the praises of the governor.
